The Motherboard



The motherboard is the part of the computer where the other module is attach, Cpu,RAM Random Access Memory,Hard disk drive and other expantion cards. This means that the motherboard controls all the components of the computer.Every motherboard has different specifications according to cpu socket,memory slots and bios chipsets.The motherboard has a small battery that help to save all the settings made in BIOS,it is called CMOS Battery.CMOS Battery is also responsible for time and date settings.You can easily notice if your battery is low if the time and date is always resetting.

The Processor or Central Processing Unit(CPU)

The Processor is also known as the brain of the computer. It is responsible for processing command and executes .The speed of a computer depends on the speed of the processor. The processor's speed is affected by the clock frequency (usually expressed as gigahertz,ghz),the amount of cores and of the cache memory inside the CPU

RAM Random Access Memory

The RAM is the temporary storage for the running applications and services in your computer.The higher the RAM the better. This is reponsible for all the program open in your computer.To run your computer faster you need to provide high ram to handle more task. The recomended is 2gb or higher to make your computer run faster and capable for multi tasking.

The Hard Disk Drive HDD

The hard drive is the permanent storage of your computer.This is where your files is save like operating system,movies.mp3 and other files.The higher capacity means that you can save more files in your computer.You can attact 1 or more hard disk drive .

The CD ROM /DVD ROM (Read Only Memory)

This is used in installing application from cd's.Other CD ROM and DVD ROM has function to write or burn data to CD.
